We are located 7 km from the centre of Waihi Beach, which is about a 10-minute drive by car. Please note that distances are measured in straight lines, and actual travel distances may vary.

Bowentown Beach Holiday Park is absolute beachfront! If you opt for a beachfront site your distance to the beach from your campsite can be only a matter of meters!

The park is easily accessible by car, and parking is available for one vehicle per accommodation or site. If you're arriving by public transport, the nearest bus stop is in Waihi, with taxi or shuttle services available to take you to the park.

Absolutely! Our park is family-friendly, with safe beach access and plenty of activities for children, including a playground, jumping pillow, and games room.

Yes, we have a private hot tub available for guests, which can be booked for sessions throughout the day and evening.

Yes, we offer FREE high-speed Wi-Fi across the entire park. Guests can collect the passcode from reception. For those needing extra data or priority speeds, additional data vouchers can be purchased online via the provider’s homepage.


Yes, parking is available on each site for one car. Additional parking may be arranged outside the park if needed. Please note that boat parking is subject to availability.

Yes, our Holiday Park Store is located at Reception and offers a variety of essentials, including snacks, cold drinks, groceries, fresh bread, ice, bait, and more.

Yes, pets are welcome during the off-peak season, which runs after the Waitangi long weekend until 20th December, excluding Easter and Labour Day long weekends.

Pets can stay at the park during the off-peak season only. Unfortunately, pets are not permitted during peak holiday periods.

Pets are allowed on all tent and caravan sites during the off-peak season. We also have two pet-friendly villas where dogs are welcome inside; however, we kindly ask that they stay off the beds to avoid additional cleaning fees.

Please inform us when booking by adding your pet as a "guest" under the animals category or contact our team directly.

Yes, all pet owners must follow our pet policy, which includes keeping pets under control and respecting other guests. Complete details will be provided upon arrival.

All caravans, campervans, and tents staying on a powered site must use an approved camping lead that meets the AS/NZS 3001:2008 standard. Standard household extension cords are not permitted, as they are not designed for outdoor use and do not meet safety requirements.

A standard extension cord is designed for indoor use and is not waterproof or RCD-protected, which makes it unsafe for outdoor camping conditions.
An approved camping lead is:

• Fully waterproof and built for outdoor conditions
• Equipped with an RCD (Residual Current Device) to prevent electric shock
• Compliant with AS/NZS 3001:2008 safety standards

Yes, all caravans and campervans that stay on a powered site must display a current Electrical Warrant of Fitness (EWOF). This ensures that the vehicle’s electrical system has been checked and certified as safe for use.

Yes, all caravans and campervans using LPG must comply with the AS/NZS 3100 standard for gas safety. This helps prevent leaks and ensures the system is safe for use in camping environments.

For safety reasons, guests will be unable to connect to power without an approved camping lead or a valid EWOF for their caravan or campervan. If you arrive without the appropriate equipment, we may have approved camping leads available for purchase at reception.

Approved camping leads with RCD protection can be found at most camping stores, hardware retailers, and automotive suppliers. We may also have a limited supply available for sale at reception, so please inquire with us upon arrival.

We offer a wide range of accommodation options, including self-contained villas, cabins, powered and non-powered campsites, and pet-friendly options.

Linen is provided in all villas and cabins. For tent and caravan sites, we offer linen hire if needed.
