TERMS & CONDITIONS OF YOUR STAY

Cancellations:  All usual cancellation policies apply.

Vaccine Passes:  Not required

SEASONS

All rates are GST (15%) inclusive and are in New Zealand dollars ($NZD). We accept payments by internet banking, Visa and MasterCard. A 2% fee may be added to payments made via credit card.

Reservations are a contract between Bowentown Beach Holiday Park and the person named on the reservation. It is not transferable to any other person. The named reservation holder must be over 18 years of age, must occupy the camp site or room for the duration of the contract and is responsible for all occupants and visitors of that camp site or room.

 

PEAK  |  20th December to after Waitangi Long Weekend. Includes Easter and Labour day long weekends.

All roofed accommodation tariffs are set to a room rate that includes the maximum occupancy for that room type (plus additional charges for extra persons). Mid year public holiday weekends may be exempt from the maximum occupancy room rates.
All camp site bookings are set to a minimum tariff of 2 Adults plus 1 Child per night (plus additional charges for extra persons) between 26th December – 11th January inclusive.
Camp site tariffs for all other dates within peak season are set to a minimum of 2 Adults per night (plus additional charges for extra persons).


SHOULDER  |  after Waitangi Weekend to after Easter, and then from 1 October to 19th December inclusive.

All roofed accommodation tariffs are set to a minimum rate of 2 adults (plus additional charges for extra persons).
Camp sites tariffs are set to a minimum of 1 Adult per site (plus additional per person charges at Adult & Child rates).


LOW  |  after Easter to 1st October.

MINIMUM STAY

Minimum stay periods may apply to weekends, public holidays and high season.

 

PEAK  |  20th December to after Waitangi Long Weekend.

All bookings arriving between 26th December and 4th January require a minimum of 7 nights. All other dates in December require a 2 – 3 night minimum stay. Exceptions will only be made if your booking fills a gap between other bookings that may be shorter than the minimum nights


SHOULDER  |  after Waitangi Weekend to after Easter, and then from 1 October to 19th December inclusive.

A minimum 2 night’s stay for roofed accommodation required for all weekends during Shoulder season.


LOW  |  after Easter to 17th December.

2 night minimum stays may apply to weekends only.


***Public holiday weekends require a 3 night minimum stay, EASTER requires a 4 night minimum stay in all of our camp sites and roofed accommodation.

 


CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT TIMES

Check-In Time: From 2:00pm for roofed accommodation and 12:00pm for camping sites. Please advise if arriving later than 7:00pm so arrangements can be made for a late check-in. You may call on 0800 143 769 or email info@bowentownbeach.co.nz

Check-Out Time: no later than 10:00am for roofed accommodation and 11:00am for Camping sites on the day of departure unless by prior arrangement.

 


DEPOSITS

PEAK SEASON

Booking fee: A booking Fee of $50.00 is due at the time of reservation. This fee is non-transferrable/non-refundable and does not confirm the booking. The fee will be deducted from the balance of the reservation.

Deposit amount: An initial deposit of $200 is required for all powered/unpowered camp sites. An initial deposit of 50% is required on all roofed accommodation.

When: The initial deposit is due 1 June

  • Bookings made after 1 June will require the initial deposit amount as stated above within 3 days.
  • The balance must be paid in full by 1 December.

 

SHOULDER & LOW SEASONS

Deposit amount: Deposit of the first night’s stay

When:

  • For arrivals within 7 days of booking the deposit is due at the time of reservation
  • For arrivals AFTER 7 days of booking the deposit is due within 3 days.

Guest account credits cannot be used as a deposit.

 


CANCELLATIONS & AMENDMENTS

A cancellation fee applies to all bookings.

 

PEAK SEASON BOOKINGS: (20th December to after Waitangi Long Weekend. Includes Easter and Labour day long weekends).

  • No Refund of the $50.00 booking fee if cancellation is made at any time
  • Cancellations made before 42 days of arrival will result in a full refund of deposit less $20.00 administration fee
  • Cancellations made after 42 days of arrival result in the loss of the booking deposit and booking fee
  • Booking amendments to reduce nights or occupants must be made 42 days in advance, a reduction of occupants or nights within 42 days must be paid for as per the original booking totals
  • We strongly recommend you take the appropriate domestic travel cancellation insurance from your provider.

SHOULDER & LOW SEASON BOOKINGS: (After Waitangi long weekend – 20th December, Excludes Easter and Labour day long weekend, see Peak Season).

  • Cancellations made before 7 days of arrival will receive a full refund less $20.00 administration fee.
  • Cancellations made after 7 days of arrival result in the forfeit their first nights deposit.
  • Booking amendments to reduce nights or occupants must be made 7 days or more in advance, a reduction of occupants or nights within 7 days of bookings arrival must be paid for as per the original booking totals.
  • We strongly recommend you take the appropriate domestic travel cancellation insurance from your provider.

 


REFUNDS

There will be no reduction for early departure or late arrival. This includes conditions due to natural causes, i.e. weather. This also applies to guests who are asked to leave the park because of their behaviour. Guests are liable for the full amount of stay as booked.

 


CREDITS

Credits are offered on a goodwill basis only. Should a credit be offered, it shall be valid for 12months only unless stated otherwise. Credits are non-refundable after offer and cannot be used as a deposit for a future stay nor be used in the store of café. Credits may only be used to pay off booking balances. Credits cannot transfer to another guest unless approved by management.

 


PEAK SEASON RE-BOOKING (peak season only)

If guests wish to rebook for the following year the relevant re-booking form must be completed and the $50.00 booking fee must be paid. Re-booking must be for the same site/Motel or Cabin for the same dates for the following year. Re-bookings must be completed during the current stay.

To be eligible to roll over your booking (gap year), you must stay 3 years consecutively on the same site/dates. Only one gap year is permitted, further request for a gap year must be approved by management and may result in alternative sites/Motel/Unit offered. It is the guests’ responsibility to ensure that your site is rolled over and all appropriate fees and deposits paid.

 


BALANCE PAYMENTS

The balance of reservations for bookings between the 26th December and 31st January is payable and due before the 1st December. All other balance payments are to paid on arrival at check-in unless otherwise arranged.

To help make your holiday more affordable you may periodically pay your booking in instalments via bank transfer, credit card using the Booking reference or online payment link provided in your booking confirmation.

 


CONFIRMATION LETTERS

These are generated once deposit has been paid and either given/sent at time of booking or re-booking. Please check them carefully and notify us of any changes or all details will be taken as correct.

 


TARIFF / PRICES

Our tariffs are reviewed annually for the new season. Please be aware prices may change when booking in advance from one season to the next. Prices are subject to change without prior notification.

 


CARAVANS / CAMPERVANS

Require a current Electrical Warrant of Fitness displayed and comply with LPG Standard (As/NZS3100). Management reserve the right to disconnect any caravan/campervan that does not have a current electrical warrant of fitness. Must provide own waste container and be emptied in the designated dump station.

 


PARK INFORMATION AND RULES

These are printed on the park map available at the office or can be viewed on our website. These must be complied with at all times or you may be asked to vacate the park.

 


GROUPS

We reserve the right to charge a bond to all groups, refundable after departure if all rules are adhered to.

Reservations are a contract between BBHP and the person named on the reservation and is not transferable to any other person. This means that the named person must occupy the roofed accommodation/site booked for the duration of the contract and is ultimately responsible for all occupants and visitors.

For group bookings this means one person is ultimately responsible/liable for group behaviour and damage. Amendments to confirmed group bookings may incur a $20.00 admin fee, per change.

 


GROUP CANCELLATIONS

Deposits will be refunded 90 days prior to arrival minus a $20 cancellation fee per unit/site. 50% is refundable between 90-60 days prior to arrival, anything less than 60 days prior to arrival, no refund can be given. We also have a no refund policy once checked in. Group bookings are considered to be two or more units/sites booked together.

 


DAMAGE

The person listed on the booking is responsible for any charges incurred due to any damage, breakages or soiling of park property.

 


VISITORS

Visitors are welcome to the park, but must leave their vehicles outside the Holiday Park.

All visitors are at the sole discretion of the management and MUST report and register at the office and pay the visitor fee.

All visitors are the responsibility of the booking holder and must leave the park by 10:00pm. Please do not be offended if visitors who do not register at the office are asked to leave the park. This is for all guest security and enjoyment of the park facilities.

 


CHILD AGES

Children must be supervised by a parent. Child ages are 2 to 17 years inclusive – where child rates are offered. On all accommodation infants under 2 year are free.

 


CONDUCT

We ask that all guests restrict their noise level after 10:30pm and before 8:00am. The only exception is New Year’s Eve, which is 12:30am. As a guide if you can be heard more than a camp site away you are too noisy. No music or radios after 10:30pm.

Bowentown Beach Holiday Park reserves the right to refuse entry and/or request termination of booking without refund regarding disorderly conduct which includes drunken behaviour.

 


PET POLICY

No animals are allowed into the Park outside the designated season. Bowentown Beach Holiday Park accepts pets on designated sites between mid February – mid December, excluding Easter and Labour Weekend. Pets are only permitted in designated roofed accommodation, Pets are NOT allowed in non designated accommodation – no exceptions.
